The Sword of Night and Flame, which players have been using to stomp through Elden Ring‘s early game has had its weapon skill damage lowered, as has the Hoarfrost Stomp Ash of War. ![]() A number of nerfs hit the game’s popular weapons, Ashes of War, and one particularly useful summon, the Mimic Tear Ash. While that new feature is helpful, Elden Ringmay actually get harder for some players to progress through after its latest update. During our testing of the feature, Elden Ring‘s newest NPC, Jar-Bairn, wasn’t marked on the map. In our 10/10 review, IGN said: "Elden Ring is a massive iteration on what FromSoftware began with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging combat to an incredible open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path.It seems as though players have to have met an NPC before they’ll be marked. We finally know for sure, however, and the surprise launch tomorrow will be the first piece of DLC outside of regular updates and patches that Elden Ring has received. PvP wasn't an option, of course, but various gladiator-esque fighting sequences were discovered including fights between warriors and giant lions. That didn't stop some people from exploring the area though, as some modders got it working as early as April. The Colosseums have existed within the game since its launch but have been inaccessible in normal gameplay. "The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights." "Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseum," it reads. ![]()
